| The Porsche Carrera GT, which was
introduced as a 2004 model, is a low, sleek, lightweight roadster that is
as beautiful to the engineer as it is to the eye. Porsche says it will build
1500 of these supercars over the next three years. (2004-2006) The Carrera
GT’s aerodynamic and race-bred suspension package provides safe and
stable travel at speeds of up to 205 mph (330 km/h). The Carrera GT features

Body: This ultimate Carrera is a targa-topped roadster, but it has no disappearing roof, hard or otherwise. Instead, two top panels are stored in the GT's front trunk, which also serves as the only luggage compartment.The chassis is made of carbon-fiber reinforced plastic, Silver Exterior. Engine: 5.7 liters Engine with maximum output rated at 605 horsepower (SAE) at 8,000 rpm, with peak torque of 435 lb-ft. The engine has a very low center of gravity, a 68-degree V angle and four valves-per-cylinder heads. The Carrera GT accelerates from a standing start to 62 mph (100 km/h) in only 3.9 seconds, reaches 100 mph (160 km/h) in less than seven seconds, 125 mph (200 km/h) in less than 10 seconds, and can achieve a top test-track speed of 205 mph (330 km/h). Transmission: Traditional six-speed manual transmission routing the power through a carbon-ceramic clutch. Interior: Manually adjustable seats are finished in smooth leather on composite carbon shells. The console is made of composite materials and covered in galvanized magnesium. Fitted with a ball-shaped wood knob, the gearshift lever is positioned next to the steering wheel. Air conditioning is standard.
